Choose a local folder, check the preview, and rename the files once no conflicts remain. Renaming runs locally in your browser (currently Chrome and Edge), and files are not uploaded. Once loaded, the tool also works without an internet connection.
Placeholders in curly braces are replaced for each file. Other text in the pattern stays exactly as you write it.
The original file extension is preserved automatically and does not need to be in the pattern. For example, the pattern Invoice-{index} renames report.pdf to Invoice-1.pdf.
